"If it is accurate that nearly 50% of Black males drop out of high school, and 7 of 10 children are born out of wedlock the nation is presently breeding a criminal class in numbers that will rival the largest armies in the world very soon."

DavidSon takes a difficult issue filled with complexities, and helps an attentive listener understand.

"A child is born into a poor family typically headed by a struggling single parent. Usually, there's more than one child in the family. The child is thrown into the general populous with neighbors in the same 'hood' all at varying degrees of age. Now the child has to determine to be a predator or prey to survive. If the child is going to be a predator the child has to assume the most social-pathic behavior possible. This is how the child gains acceptance. Or the child exhibits gay or transgender tendencies to navigate through the experience. Eventually, some may exhibit extraordinary athletic or entertainment skills that help to free them if they can avoid every predator. Often these with exceptional abilities are the objects of envy. Some predator ends the person's life."

According to DavidSon the nation must address this issue, and look for ways to derail what he calls the unspoken national epidemic.

"The African American community has doubled in the last 50 years. Given the current trend where half the African American males don't graduate from high school, they represent a potential criminal population the size of the military force employed in Iraq initially each year. The annual number of persons entering the prison system including all races was about 51,000 from 1980-2009. However, the potential criminal population of African Americans alone will be 90,000.

The costs including community losses and funding for the criminal system will be untenable."

According to DavidSon it's not as simple as a jobs programs with masses of African Americans unable to show the discipline to attend school.

"Jobs would help, but we are talking community pathology and everything that feeds the condition. Liquor outlets, predatory loan and retail businesses, wayward clergy, entertainment feeding violence, sordid sexuality and other forms of deviance and more. The nation needs a miracle. This is the Civil Righteousness battle of this generation by far."

Division of assets also favored one party over the other, though the breakdown was much closer to 50/50. The findings come as part of a new study MDP conducted among 18,880 divorce cases.

The Breakdown

According to the study, assets were divided equally in 51.56 percent of the cases (9,734) compared to 48.44 percent where it wasn't (9,146).

On the other hand, the difference in debt division was steep. In more than three out of four cases, one partner received the majority of debt -- a staggering 14,630 cases, to be exact (approximately 77.49 percent). Debts were divided equally only 22.51 percent of the time (4,250 cases).

The study did not indicate whether these breakdowns favored men over women or vice versa.

Reasons For Judgment

In most states, earnings and assets acquired during the course of the marriage should be divided fairly between partners, but that doesn't necessarily mean the judgment will be equal. In some states, a judge could order one party to use separate property to make a settlement fair for both spouses. Judges will consider the earning potential of both spouses as well as the contributions made throughout the marriage and any other ongoing responsibilities (e.g. who has custody of the children).

NOLO.com notes that in Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and Puerto Rico, "all property of a married person is classified as either community property (owned equally by both spouses) or the separate property of one spouse."

Not surprisingly, the group from five feet to six feet tall accounted for most of the cases at more than 86 percent (2,875 persons). Individuals below five feet, which is well below the average male and female height in America, accounted for an additional 3.98 percent (133 persons).

The remaining 332 individuals (9.94 percent) were anywhere from 6'1" to 6'6" in height.

Factors To Consider

The study did not indicate the gender of persons involved, nor did it take into consideration the percentage of the whole population that would fall under the height ranges that were part of the study.

According to Disabled World, however, the average heights skew high with the average American male clocking in at 5'10.2" and the average American woman at 5'4.6."

While there are more persons over six feet living in the US than under five feet, it's easy to see how the trend could favor the group in the middle. But what's especially interesting is the divorce rate of other countries that have a taller average height than the US.

Take the Netherlands as an example. In the Netherlands, the average male is more than six feet tall and the average female more than 5'6." According to a comparison conducted by the US Census Bureau, the Netherlands had just 2.9 divorces per 1,000 population compared to 5.2 in the US.

The Takeaway

In the US, people taller than six feet are less likely to get divorced than those who fall within the average height, probably because they're still the outliers. There are less of them, in other words.

However, it's interesting to note that the one country with an average male height above six feet has a much lower divorce rate than the US. The findings definitely open up the possibilities for future study, particularly involving how the US stacks up against all countries with a greater average height.

Make sure water will drain away from the foundation and caulk around the hole in rim joist.

Marian and Crystal were the MVP's of the evening, with skills that amazed everyone.

As the evening came to a conclusion, the 3 Doctors lost badly to the 12 Optometric Assistants.  "In the end, the Optometric Assistants' Team took us to the cleaners," said Alan Limfat, O.D.,  President of Linden Optometry, A P.C. "But it was a good way to release stress and have fun with our collegues after a long day at work."
