Auto marketers will have to continue developing features that make use of the advantages of each device such as the wide screen on a desktop, portability of a smartphone and the untapped features of a tablet PC. Six months from now J.D. Power and Associates will take another survey and take note of the changes in ranking. By then, a greater number of potential buyers will be using tablets.

(PRBuzz.com) August 9, 2013 -- A Honeywell study announced that low-global-warming refrigerant, known as HFO1234yf, has the potential to lower global warming effects by four times what it was previously believed amount. The product enhances the standing as one of the world's most green-friendly refrigerants.

The study was backed by an independent peer review and was published in volume 41 of Reviews of Geophysics. Several leading chemists, as well as European and U.S. environmental scientists were among those who overlooked the study. It is the first study that the GWP looked overall all fluorocarbon-based refrigerants as they were calculated under consistent available atmospheric data to complement findings. The notation of atmospheric pressure helped flush out the overall impact on environment of the refrigerant while in use.

"With the previous GWP rating of 4, it has been well-established that HFO-1234yf offers superior performance to HFC-134a, for which it is a near drop-in replacement. HFO-1234yf also offers significant environmental and economic benefits over CO2-based air-conditioning systems," said Ken Gayer, vice president and general manager of Honeywell Fluorine Products.

"For instance, a study by the Japanese Automobile Manufacturers Association found that HFO-1234yf air-conditioning systems can produce 20-30 percent fewer global warming emissions in hot climates than CO2 systems because HFO-1234yf systems require less fuel. If applied to the European automobile fleet, this fuel efficiency advantage for HFO-1234yf could save 8 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions, which equates to as much as 4.5 billion euros in lower annual fuel costs for Europeans. With a GWP of less than 1, we can anticipate even more environmental and economic benefits to using HFO-1234yf."

The product was the subject of intensive testing, which was conducted at SAE International Cooperative Research Program from 2007 to 2009."HFO-1234yf is safe to use, better for the environment, more economical for OEMs and car owners, and available today," said Gayer. "Combined with SAE International's comprehensive risk assessment, the new study on GWP further validates the decision of automakers around the world to implement HFO-1234yf in their vehicles."

He was born into a humble Sidon lifestyle in 1920. Lebanon escaped the trappings of the Ottoman empire and entered French-controlled rule of the colony. As a teenager, he accepted an invitation to join Anis, his brother, in the opening of a photography workshop. The business was the first of its kind in Lebanon to be established within the Muslim south. The studio was called "Studio Soussi" and it became well known in the area.

Chafic was forced to meld his craft through his job, which meant leaning quickly and on the fly. His tinting techniques would become a craft which became synonymous with his the studio and himself.

City locals were lured in by the magic and wonderment of photography. This afforded Soussi a chance to take their photographs in the studio itself. Both Chafic and Anis handled passport photos, family portraits, and personalized shots throughout the years they worked in Lebanon. Following Chafic's death, his family compiled the photos that the men had compiled over the years.

The mix of people were astoundingly differing in their look, style, and manner within the photos. For Chafic, the differing faces upon the streets is what lured him out of the study. His career spanned civil wars, foreign invasions, and civil unrest, all of which added to his astounding collection.

Photos such as those of a young Anwar Sadat, years prior o rising to the position of Egyptian president, or Camille Chamoun, President of Lebanon, were just a couple of so many examples of a storied career in the bed of humanity that is Lebanon.

Stevenson is a commissioned Colonel, and is a direct descendant of John Stevenson, one of the first settlers at Jamestown, Virginia.

The Cold War, often dated from 1945-1991, was a sustained state of political and military tension between powers in the Western world, dominated by the United States with NATO and other allies; versus powers in the Eastern world, dominated by the Soviet Union with its Warsaw Pact and other allies. The Soviet Union held satellite states especially in the Warsaw Pact in Eastern Europe as well as in Asia.[1] The United States held client states especially in Central and South America, and Asia.[2] This began after the success of their temporary wartime alliance against Nazi Germany, leaving the USSR and the US as two superpowers with profound economic and political differences. A neutral faction arose with the Non-Aligned Movement founded by Egypt, India, and Yugoslavia, this faction rejected association with either the US-led West or the Soviet-led East.

The Cold War was so named as it never featured direct military action, since both East and West possessed nuclear weapons, and because their use would probably guarantee their mutual assured destruction. However both repeatedly engaged in indirect confrontations through proxy wars. The cycles of relative calm would be followed by high tension which could have led to war. The most tense involved the Berlin Blockade (1948-1949), the Korean War (1950-1953), the Suez Crisis (1956), the Berlin Crisis of 1961, the Cuban Missile Crisis (1962), the Vietnam War (1959-1975), the Yom Kippur War (1973), the Soviet war in Afghanistan (1979-1989), the Soviet downing of Korean Air Lines Flight 007 (1983), and the "Able Archer" NATO military exercises (1983). This opened the country and its satellite states to a mostly peaceful wave of revolutions which culminated in the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, leaving the United States as the dominant military power. The Cold War and its events have left a significant legacy, and it is often referred to in popular culture, especially in media featuring themes of espionage and the threat of nuclear warfare.

Stevenson was recently nominated for The Order of the British Empire to be bestowed by Her Majesty, The Queen. Stevenson is also a well-known friend of the late David Carradine, Jan-Michael Vincent, and former FEMA Director and Undersecretary of Homeland Security Michael D. Brown. Stevenson also holds a coveted Kukkiwon 4th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo.

Held June 19-21, 2013 at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma Hotel in Mexico City, Mexico, the theme of the 27th Annual Asociación Mexicana de Desarrolladores Turísticos (AMDETUR) Convention, referred to in English as the Mexican Resort Development Association, was "The New Era of Tourism - Capitalizing Vacation Ownership Opportunities".
